The Burma Trail

SNAP!  The string broke, Caleb fell, and he probably put his arms out. I trodded down a few more rocky stairs. A helpful parent advised; "This is where the string broke. Now try to find my right hand." I did, eventually and carried on, not knowing I'd come to lots of zigzags in the rope. I know it was zig-zaged because I saw a photo of it in daylight. Under, forward, about a quarter turn, forward, under, about a quarter turn... It was dark with a blind fold on or off and I had a blindfold on while doing the burma trail. Then I walked into a smooth, slimy thing. Photos proved it was a plastic bag being hung. I proceeded carefully to find my toe stubbing a log of wood. You're at the amphitheatre steps, OK?" Another helpful parent advised. "Yup." I replied and fluently climbed the amphitheatre stairs, trying to keep a rhythym. Unfortunately I couldn't. I then climbed through the bush. Did I mention I was wearing a torch around my neck? Stomp, Click, "Where's my torch gone?" It had unclipped, and rolled somewhere. When I finished I didn't go. I was wearing my dad's torch for most of the time so he'd be angry if he found out. I found it in the end and then ran to my tent. Quickly. I didn't want to lose my torch again.
Me doing the burma trail with my torch on.
